Levi Walter Yaggy (1848–1912) was an influential American publisher, inventor, and educator whose innovative teaching materials brought geography and astronomy to life for 19th-century classrooms. His most enduring work is Yaggy’s Geographical Portfolio (first published in 1887, with an expanded edition in 1893), a set of elaborate, interactive chromolithograph charts designed for classroom use. These fold-out maps and diagrams covered physical, political, geological, and astronomical geography, often featuring movable flaps to reveal cross-sections and celestial phenomena. The portfolio was widely used by teachers to make complex subjects more engaging. This t-shirt shows his masterpiece titled "Geologic Chart" from 1983 and illustrates various geologic ages, the Law of Superposition, cross-cutting relationships, and various geologic processes. It's a breathtaking depiction that beautifully captures just how intricate and wondrous our Earth truly is.
